Connect the Dots of Arabic Language to Bring Meaning to the Ayaat
It is no secret that I began studying Islam as an Adult. I would always listen to the lectures of the scholars and watch their videos wondering whether I could ever understand the Quran like them.
As I started memorising the the Quran as an Adult I wanted to Connect with the Book of Allah (SWT) in a deeper way. I remembered a saying of one of my elders, "Read the Quran with meaning". As a busy person already working and married with children I did not have much time to dedicate to Arabic studies too. Nevertheless, I made the decision to study and enrolled on to some Arabic courses.
Having made the jump I quickly reaslised that while I was learning general Arabic I was still largely unable to understand the Quran. I went to to study Arabic as an elective at university and while I learnt a lot of general Arabic I was still not connecting with the Quran in the way I wanted.
I found the concept of 80% Quranic Arabic Words. This is what I was seeking all along.
I began learning the vocabulary and while I had learnt many of the words during my Arabic studies the concept was simple and intentional. Within the year I began understanding most of the Quran.
I studied and memorised 12 words a day for a total of 570 words. Coupled with the Grammar and general Arabic I learnt on the other courses the verses of the Quran opened up to me and I was connecting with the Book of Allah (SWT) like never before.
I went from memorising half a page a day to 2 pages a day (although I do not recommend so much to my students).
"I went from busy adult trying and struggling to busy adult able to understand Alhamdulillah".
I have put together a single course which brings together the vocabulary from the 80% Quranic Words research and the necessary grammar required to understand the Quran in one course.
With just an hour a week over 6 months, you will be able to tap into the Quran in what took me 6 years inshallah.
You will learn the vocabulary and requisite grammar, Nahw & Sarf over 65 lessons in a simple but highly impactful manner.
You will learn the vocabulary and immediately understand the how they are used directly from the verses of the Quran.
Your learning will be highly accelerated.
Learn the basic words which are scattered across the Quran. This level covers particles and an introduction to the Arabic Language.
Get introduced to nouns and verbs. Learn how the words are formed with Sarf (Morphology). See the words interact with each other with Nahw (Syntax) rules.
Complete the lessons of Huruf (Particles). Now you are able to see the connections of words in Arabic and the Quran.
Alhmadulillah 50% of the Quranic Words Completed.
We bring the nouns to completion. At this stage you should be able to recognise every 2 out of 9 nouns used in the Quran and with the examples from the ayaat even more!
This final module brings in mastery of the verbs and Sarf. At this stage you are able to access 80% of the Quran alhamdulillah. You also know how to research the languange and can continue your journey with the Arabic Language.
Students should be able to read the Arabic Script BEFORE Enrolling on this Course
No. As long as a student is able to read Arabic script this course will take the student from beginner to 80% Quranic Arabic proficiency inshallah.
The course is a self-study (unless you opt for the classes) self-paced video course.
Students are able to study around their own schedule but we recommend studying at least 1 lesson a week.
Enrolment on to the course gives you free access to the Arabic Learning Community. The community are all students who have enroled on the course just like you. We grant access to the community every 48 hours so please check your email for an invitation.
We also offer an option of weekly lessons FREE for 1 month. Thereafter, the weekly lessons are chargeable on a monthly basis.
The classes are £59 a month (6 - 11 students per class). In linguistics, this number of students is better than one to one lessons. Alhmadulillah, Suhail Shaikh has an MA in Applied Linguistics.
